Murky Excursion

The Murky Excursion is an 8-hour overnight adventure race for teams of two or three. The most recent Murky Excursion took place on June 8-9, 2012 near Hardwick, VT. Check out the results or if you're interested in a future race, sign up for email updates.

Hardwick is quintessential rural, beautiful Vermont landscape, and you'll get to see plenty of it via headlamp.

Disciplines will include navigation, trekking, and mountain biking, plus a few surprises along the way. Since almost the entire race will occur in the dark, this will truly be a memorable challenge for all of you. Be ready for adventure!

We use a cutoff system which allows us to really challenge experienced teams while providing a great race for the first timers. Check out some of our past racers' comments.
