Camel’s Hump 100k
GMARA is introducing a new event for 2026!
A 100-kilometer navigation race circumnavigating Camel’s Hump, run as laps over 24 to 30 hours.
Each loop runs roughly 5 to 6 hours for a moving racer. You’ll navigate by map and compass. No GPS, no course markings, across whatever mix of trail and off-trail Vermont decides to offer that weekend. Finish a lap, check in, head back out. The clock keeps running whether you’re moving or not.
There will be a cutoff at the end of every lap. Miss it, and your race is over. Make it, and you’ve earned the right to do it again.
What we can tell you so far:
• Solo entries primary. Two-person teams may be permitted, details forthcoming.
• Map and compass only. Standard GMARA navigation rules, applied at length.
• Trail when there’s trail. Off-trail when there isn’t.
• At least one full night on course.
• Per-lap cutoffs. Plan your pace accordingly.
Full details, including venue, exact format, registration, and gear list, are still being worked out. If this is the kind of event that sounds like a long weekend well spent, get on the GMARA mailing list. We’ll let you know when the maps are ready.
An adventure, after all!
